Sell My Car (BETA)
Overview
Sell My Car is a new program on Amazon Autos, offered alongside today’s Trade-In program, allowing Amazon customers to sell their used cars directly to dealers without needing to purchase a new one. It serves customers who want to sell their car quickly or who haven’t found their desired vehicle on Amazon. At the same time, it creates an efficient marketplace for dealers to acquire used car inventory. Customers begin with an estimate through the valuation flow, which generates an instant offer or appraisal value, before being presented with two options: Trade-In or Sell.

Goal
Sell My Car beta serves as a lite launch in 1 metro, Los Angeles (600 dealerships), to validate customer and dealer response. During this phrase, sales will be limited to participating dealerships. To begin the journey, customers initiate the process online by receiving a sale offer, schedule appointment, then drop off their car, and finalize the transaction at the dealership, with a guaranteed same day payment.
Measuring success:
3% of customers select Sell instead of Trade
85%+ Customer Satisfaction (CSAT)
3.2+ Dealer Satisfaction (DSAT)
90% sale completion within 24 hours (from initial offer to payment completion)
Competitive Analysis
Conducting a competitive analysis allowed us to understand how competitors structure their “Sell My Car” program, identify industry best practices, and pinpoint opportunities to differentiate our offering in terms of speed, convenience, and pricing transparency.

Phase 2: Website + Collateral redesign
Following the release of the 2020–2021 Annual Report, the refreshed design concept was extended across UVIMCO’s broader communications. It has been incorporated into materials such as one-pagers, PowerPoint and Word templates, social media graphics, and its website. This cohesive application reinforces UVIMCO’s brand identity across multiple touchpoints, ensuring a consistent and modern visual presence while strengthening the organization’s connection with its community and stakeholders.
Problem
As part of the University of Virginia (UVA), UVIMCO shares the UVA brand identity, but its website did not reflect this visual connection. The client also wanted a refreshed design with clearer hierarchy and stronger contrast to help the audience navigate content more effectively.
Results
The website was redesigned to elevate the brand and showcase UVA’s student culture, achievements, and the ways UVIMCO supports a thriving community of students, faculty, and staff. The update incorporates stronger contrast to establish a clear visual hierarchy, guiding audiences’ attention to key content. The site leverages UVIMCO’s signature blue to communicate strength, leadership, and heritage, creating a cohesive visual connection between UVA and UVIMCO while reinforcing brand identity.
